I’m a big fan of Rimmel makeup in general. I’ve used their Stay Matte powder and Khol eyeliner for YEARS. But these Kate Moss lipsticks reach another level. I own a few of these lipsticks from the original collection already, but with the release of the special addition 15th anniversary collection, celebrating 15 years of successful collaboration with Kate Moss, I knew I needed to add a few more to my collection.
I love the formula for these lipsticks. Despite being a matte collection, they are so creamy and not at all drying, and the staying power is incredible. It doesn’t feel heavy to wear, either; the smooth application means it feels incredibly comfortable on the lips, something that you can quite easily wear all day.
The pigmentation is also incredible. The colour swatches true to the label, and it only requires one swipe to get a full coverage. It is buildable and can easily be layered up if needed, but it isn’t necessary when the pigmentation is this good.
As I said earlier, the staying power is impressive. I can easily get 5/6 hours wear on one application, and that is with drinking and eating too. It does fade, but doesn’t look flaky, as as I said it can be easily reapplied without looking dry. It sounds silly, but it also fades evenly so you don’t end up with a ring around your lips but nothing in the middle – never a good look!!
The shade range is incredibly varied, too. From lovely pink and brown nude shades to more vivid reds and fuschia pinks, there is definitely something suitable for everyone.
There are 6 new shades in the 15th Anniversary collection (Hence the rose gold packaging and named products) and numerous to choose from in the original collections, so they are worth taking a look at.
At £5.49 each, you get a lot of product for the money you pay, with a quality that can rival high end products.
