Get the Look: Crisp Autumn morning

These are the best kind of mornings; the sun is shining, there’s a chill in the air and you’re all wrapped up in a thick woolly hat and scarf.

Those Orange and gold colours are the best thing about Autumn, I just love the colours of the leaves as they start to turn. This is something I’ve aimed to replicate with this look, using all high street makeup brands.

To start, I primed my face using the Bourjois Happy Light Base Serum Primer. This is great for keeping my Face oil free all day, but also at smoothing out my pores and fine lines. I then used the L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation in the shade fair, buffer all over my face with a buffing brush. This is quite a dewy foundation, but I find it just adds a healthy glow. I just use a touch of concealer under my eyes to cover any dark circles. Lately, I’ve been using the Maybelline Anti Age Eraser Eye concealer, because it’s full coverage without having to apply loads.

Moving on to contour, I used the NYX Wonder Stick in the hollows of my cheeks and on my temples, blended in well so there’s only a hint of a shadow. I set all this with the Rimmel Match Perfection Loose Powder in the shade transparent. For blush I only wanted a light flush, so used the 2nd shade in the Makeup Revolution Sugar and Spice Ultra Blush Palette. This is a recent purchase but have to say I am sold on its colour pigmentation. I’ll post a separate review on this product, but it’s worth a look.

For my eyes I used the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Birthday Suit palette. Again, there will be a seperate review on this product. I used the shade Toast all over the lid, with the shade Soft Truffle in the outer V and to define the crease. I finish with a little Marzipan in the inner corner and blended along.

I filled in my brows using the NYX Micro Brow Pencil, and lined my upper and lower lash line with Rimmel Soft Khol Eye Liner Pencil in the shade sable brown.  I finished the eyes off with a coat Of Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara.

Finally, the star of the show. Using Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in the shade 53 Retro Red, I applied two coats, blotting with a tissue between each one.

And there you have it! The perfect Autumn Daytime look! (Snapchat filter optional)
