February GlossyBox Unboxing

I half expected this months GlossyBox to be over the top with romance; full of products to help you crease the perfect romantic Valentines Day look.

But actually, it was surprisingly refreshing without being too lovey-dovey. Instead, it focussed on the love you have for friends, and was based around the ideas of a ‘girls night in’; pamper products galore!

Ciate London Paint Pot in the shade Iced Frappe (RRP £9.00, ciatelondon.com) – This is the most gorgeous lilac/brown nude! I’ve never tried Ciate nail varnishes before, but if they’re anything like this one I’ve been missing out! With two coats it was opaque, and dried extremely quickly. The universally flattering shade looks great for this time of year, and looks classy and sophisticated.

MeMeMe Beat the Blues in the shade Oyster Gold (RRP £7.25, mememecosmetics.com) – At first I thought this was another nail varnish, but was pleased to find a liquid illuminated instead. I’m not big on liquid illuminators as they can be a little too in-your-face for my liking, but this is surprisingly subtle, almost natural. It isn’t overly shimmery or glittery, but melts away to give the skin a dewy, natural glow.

Jeanne Arthrs L’eau de Rose (RRP £20.00, facebook.com/jeannearthesgermany)  – I was most surprised to receive this, as I’ve never received a scent with GlossyBox before. I’m not usually a big fan of Rose scents as I find them a little overwhelming, but this is delightfully subtle and elegant, and provides a clean fragrance, perfect to pop in my handbag for on the go touchups.

La Theorie des Volcans Noir Eternae Youth Potion Face Scrub (RRP £26.00, latheoriedesvolcans.com) – Goodie, a Face Mask! This claims to plump and smooth skin with anti aging ingredient. I’m intrigued by this as it claims to turn from pink to grey as the ingredients remove impurities, so I’m keen to see how this works!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Strength Restorer Balm (RRP £4.49, boots.com) – Hair masks aren’t usually a product that I tend to buy for myself, so having something like this is rather luxurious. Simply smooth into damp hair, leave for a few minutes before rinsing of and voila! Silly smooth hair. Sounds easy, right?

And that’s it, my lovelies! I’m quite keen on pampering myself, so I’m sure I’ll find a good use for these products!

Have a great month, and Happy Valentines Day!
