Spring makeup look

I just love Spring! I love the feeling of being able to put away the winter coats and scarfs and cracking out the jackets again. I love being able to buy fresh flowers and basking in the afternoon sun. And the part I love most of all is having healthy looking, dewy skin and a glowing, lightly bronzed flush.

As per usual I start by priming my skin with the Rimmel Stay Matte primer. I then go in with my Bourjois Healthy Complexion Foundation in the shade Ivory Rose. I want my skin to appear really bright and healthy so BYE BYE dark eye circles – I’m using my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1-Fair, to give a really brightening effect to my under-eye area. I then set this with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and the Laura Mercia Loose Setting Powder.

Face done for now, I’m using my Kat Von D chrysalis palette on my eyes. I love the flush of purple from the colours hybrid moments and mezzanine; they really complement my green eyes. I like to tight-line my upper and lower lash line with the Nikak Waterproof Eyeliner in the shade Dark brown. The mascara that I’ve been loving lately is the L’Oreal Miss Manga mascara, which gives me lovely fluttery lashes.

As always I fill in my brows with the NYX Micro Brown pencil in the shade espresso, and then back to the face. Using Hoola Bronzer by Benefit, I lightly contour along my cheekbones, and then finish with Sleek Blush in the shade Rose Gold.

As I went for colour on the eyes, I’m keeping my lips neutral with Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in the shade Pillow Talk, which is my perfect nude lipstick at the moment.

And this is the completed look! I just love the pop of purple on the eyes as an alternative to my usual Browns and golds.

  1. I really need to get the hang of bronzer but I’ve always been afraid of it as I’m so pale. You seem to be able to use it without going wrong, your spring look is lovely! I think I need to keep practicing with it, as with all things. x

  2. The chrysalis palette is so pretty, but I never got to use mine cos I used it for a giveaway haha! I’ve heard SO much about the Laura Mercier setting powder, I think I might have to give it a go!
