Natural School or Work Makeup

It’s been a while since I technically went to school, but since I work in a School I still consider myself going ‘back to school’ instead of back to work!

If your school was anything like mine, they were quite strict on the makeup that girls wore. We had to make it look like we weren’t wearing any – we’d even have all girls assemblies where they’d make you wipe your face with a face wipe to check you weren’t wearing any!

As I’ll be wearing this look for work, it’s going to be a little more than I would have worn to school, but still very natural looking. As I don’t have the time to spend on makeup each morning, it should take 10 minutes maximum!

I don’t have time each morning to do a full face, so I tend to skip foundation if my skin is looking healthy and spot free. Instead, I tend to apply concealer to any places that need a little coverage. For this I’m using my trusty Maybelline Age Rewind concealer, and applying this to my under eye area, chin, center of my forehead and dotted on my cheeks. I then use a damp Beauty Blender to apply this, and my holy grail Laura Mercier Loose Setting powder to set the concealer in place.

Base done for the moment, I use my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette for the eyes, running WOS across the lid and brow bone, Naked 2 through the crease and Faint in the outer corner and crease. I use Crave as an eyeliner to create a little definition. I also use Naked 2 and Faint along the lower lash line, too. As always, I use my NXY Micro Brow pencil to lightly fill in my brows, and set them with the Maybelline Brow Gel in the shade Dark Brown.

As this makeup look will be worn for most of the day, I don’t want to worry about getting panda eyes, so I tend to use a waterproof mascara to stop it sliding. For this, I’m using the Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Waterproof mascara, in Black.┬áThis product does not budge throughout the day, but isn’t too difficult to remove, either.

Back onto the face, and I’m using my Rimmel trio in the shade 002 coral to lightly contour my cheekbones. I’m also using the blush with this palette to give a little colour to my cheeks, and the highlight across my cheekbones and tip of my nose. I then press a little of the Maxfactor Creme Puff Pressed Powder in the shade 05 translucent, and pressing this across my cheeks, nose and forehead for a little extra help at removing any shininess.

I finish with my favourite MAC lipstick; Velvet Teddy, and I am done!

This is such a simple and effective look; I find it lasts all day and looks pretty without being too made up.

Let me know in the comments what your natural makeup products are!
