It’s finally Christmas month, and the official festivities can begin! Welcome to Blogmas Day 1!
I find it really difficult giving gifts to my female friends and family members that are original or unique. It’s so easy to give perfume or a dressing gown, and whilst there’s nothing wrong with receiving these items I like to give something a little more original.
Not on the High Street is a great website for finding bespoke or original gifts that suit any occasion or budget. Here’s my pick of their best buys for Her…
Personalized Double Heart Charm Necklace (RRP £21.99)
This is a gorgeous little necklace that comes in a variety of metal finishes, and can also be personalized with 2 names or initials. For those who are overly sentimental – like me – this would be a lovely gift to give. I’d have it personalized with my son’s name and husband’s initial, although you could have anything inscribed upon it, including pets names!
Personalized Welly Boot Family Print (RRP £24.99)
I’d hang this in my downstairs guest bathroom as a quirky little welcome to my house. I also know my mom would love something like this to hang in her kitchen. There’s something very whimsical about hand drawn water-colour pictures, especially something as cheerful as this. It adds a real personal touch to any household, and would be a great gift to give to a couple with a new house or baby.
Vintage Book, Tea and Stationary Subscription Gift Set (RRP £39.00)
This would ABSOLUTELY be the ideal gift for any book lover! You can purchase a 3 month subscription as a minimum amount, but can easily upgrade to cover 4, 5, 6 or 12 months. The books are vintage so look slightly worn – only adding to the charm! The tea can also be substituted for coffee, and the stationary included is gorgeous.
Personalized Compact Photo Book (RRP £9.00)
This is such a great idea for a gift! You get to choose 50 photos to be spiral bound into a mini pocket-sized book. It would be great for a newlywed or first time mum, especially as it’s small enough to carry around in your bag. If you’re anything like me, and whip your photos out to show anyone whenever the need arises, then this is definitely a suitable gift for you!
Personalized ‘With Love’ Gift Box (RRP £35.00)
Gift boxes and subscription boxes make great gifts for someone who has an interest in something. Whether it be beauty or makeup, books or coffee – there’s a subscription box for everyone. This box consists of a selection of gorgeous handmade items; bath salts, chocolates, herbal tea and a little mug. For a female friend who likes to pamper themselves, this box is perfect.
Classic Poetry Calendar 2018 (RRP £13.95)
To anyone who likes reading, this is a fabulously original gift. As an English Teacher, I love the idea of having a ‘poem of the month’ hanging in my classroom or kitchen – especially when each poem is specifically chosen to relate to the month it appears in.
One thing I hate about Christmas Gift giving is the stress that usually ensues trying to find a gift that someone will like. I find it a little less stressful when you get something a little more unique (They definitely won’t have one!) and you can show a little more creativity and thought in the choosing process.
Let me know in the comments what unique gift ideas you’ve come across!
