Top 10 Beauty Products 2017

As we’re almost at the end of the year, I thought it might be the right time to weigh in on my top beauty products of 2017. Welcome to Blogmas Day 7!

Every single one of the products on my list are products that I’ve discovered this year, and have spent most of the year using or raving about.

10. Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette (RRP £39.50)
I got this in the second half of the year, and I used it all through Summer and Autumn. I love the warm tones; it’s exactly what I look for and I find them so flattering. I wrote a more in-depth review here about the quality, but Urban Decay cannot be faulted on their formulas.

9. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion (RRP £16.00)
I don’t get spots often, but I like to have a few products on hand for those ‘time of the month’ outbreaks! Usually I turn to The Body Shop Tea Tree range, but for most of this year I’ve been reaching for this. I tend to put it on before I go to bed, and come morning the spot has vanish. A Godsend of a product.

8. OGX Collagen and Biotin Shampoo and Conditioner (RRP £.6.99)
I’ve sen these products on sale in Boots but never tried them until this year, and I haven’t used anything else since. This particular one is my favourite of all the variations I’ve tried; I love how soft and luscious it makes my hair love, and so shiny.

7.The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner (RRP from £6.00)
I’ve used some of the other Tea Tree products before, but this year I decided to up my skin care regime, and started toning after I cleanse my skin. This is the product I’ve been using to do that, and I’ve noticed such a difference in the clarity of my skin, and the reduction in oil.

6. Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation (RRP £27.00)
As a trial run for my sister’s wedding I tried a sample of this foundation, before rushing out to purchase the full size product. I cannot fault how porcelain this makes my skin look; it lasts all day, looks gorgeous and helps keep any shininess under control. See a more in-depth review here.

5. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% and B5 (RRP £5.90)
The most recent addition to the list! I made a ‘The Ordinary’ purchase back in September to test out a few of their products, and this has become a staple product in my skin care routine. After using this, my skin feels very hydrated and fresh. Full review can be found here.

4. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (RRP £5.99)
I’m almost ashamed to see this on the list. I’ve always used cheap makeup sponges brought from the likes of Primark because I was adamant they do the same job, but when these were on offer in Boots I brought one, and completely fell in love. There IS a difference in the quality of these sponges compared to cheaper alternatives, and the difference in the way my foundation looks is astronomical. I will only ever buy these now.

3. Paco Rabanne Olympea Perfume (RRP From £33.99)
This has probably been around for a while, but I purchased this when on holiday in 2016 and have pretty much lived in this. There’s just something about this scent that suits my skin, and I have so many compliments when I wear it. Gorgeous.

2. Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum (RRP £38.00)
As part of my newly improved skin care routine, I purchased in Spring as I’ve heard rave reviews about it, and they are all true. Every single one of them. I’ve barely made a dent in this so I can justify the extra cost, but it really and truly is worth every penny.

1.Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder (RRP £29.00)
And my top spot goes to my Holy Grail product of 2017! I have used this powder every day since I brought it. I love how it looks on the skin, I love how it makes my makeup last so much longer, and I just love how flawless it looks in photos. This will be the only setting powder I think I will ever need.

And those are my top products of 2017! I can’t believe a whole year has gone by already; it seems like yesterday that I was doing this for 2016!
