I thought this week I’d use another tag post – these are always fun to write, and I thought I’d celebrate my favourite season!
I’ve been very busy the last two weeks preparing to move house. So busy, in fact, that all the blog posts I’ve got written and scheduled I’ve been unable to take photos for because all my camera, blog props and makeup has been packed away. D’oh!
Hence why I’m using stock photos in this post. Normal services will resume next week. Sorry!
1) What signifies the start of autumn to you?
It’s usually the start of September because it’s when the kids go back to school and the start of the Autumn term. I know that Autumn doesn’t officially start till September 21st, but I don’t need an excuse to start it sooner!
2) Best way to spend a rainy day?
Cuddled up on the sofa with my husband and son, watching a film.
3) Your most fond autumn memory?
I used to love the Harvest Festival back when I was at primary school. We used to collect in lots of dried food and cans, and then deliver them to low income families and vulnerable people.
4) Favourite fall scent?
I’m a big fan of Autumn candles; Yankee Candle, B&M and Home Bargains do the best! I tend to like sweet scents this time of year – not overly sickly – but things like spiced apple, pumpkin etc are usually a winner. At the moment I’m burning my B&M Sugared Doughnut candle and it smells divine!
5) What are you looking to the most this fall?
My house move. It’s been a long time coming and the whole process with solicitors has been very drawn out, so I just can’t wait to to be in our new home and settled.
Also, our second baby is due the end of October, so ideally we’ll be in and settled before he/she decides to arrive!
6) Favourite autumn song?
To be honest I don’t associate any particular song with Autumn; I didn’t know this was a thing!
7) Favourite autumn movie?
Definitely Hocus Pocus, although this is probably more a Halloween movie than an Autumn one. I wat habit every year without fail; my Husband has just brought me the steel-book DVD because he knows how much I love it.
8) What TV shows are you looking forward to this fall?
I’ve just started The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix and I’m intrigued, although I’m not watching it on my own in case it sends me into early labour!
9) Favourite autumn colour?
I love burnt orange, red and berry tones this time of year. They just go so well with the changing of the leaves.
10) Favourite fall fashion trend?
Big coats and scarves, woolly jumpers and boots are a winner every year.
11) Your most loved outdoor fall activity?
I love going for walks in the Autumn leaves. As I’ve been on maternity leave the past two weeks, I’ve been taking Owen for walks over the fields and we’ve spent a lot of time collecting conkers – he’s loved it!
