There’s honestly nothing that puts a smile on my face more than fresh flowers and a flower delivery. Whether it’s a special occasion or just your run-of-the-mill day flowers instantly cheer up even the gloomiest of moods.
Prestige Flowers (The sister company to Prestige Hampers, whom I’ve reviewed previously here) recently contacted me about sending me a wonderful bunch of flowers from the Cancer Research UK Flower Shop.
Everyone has heard of the wonderful things that Cancer Research do; I always try and donate to them when I can and I’m a frequent visitor to their charity shops to raid their used books, but I honestly never knew they sold flowers.
With Christmas nigh and many family birthdays and holidays approaching with the New Year, a bouquet of fresh flowers is the perfect gift for any loved one. And why not do a good deed in supporting Cancer Research UK whilst you order your flower delivery?
As someone who has lost family members to cancer, I am well aware of the importance of Cancer Research UK. When my Nan was diagnosed with Terminal Pancreatic Cancer back in 2010, it was going through this trauma with my family that made me realise what people suffering from cancer must be going through. It made me see the importance of having the love and support of friends and family to cheer you up when you are down, and even though it might just be a small token, receiving flowers when you’re feeling low certainly cheers you up and makes you realise how loved and supported you are.
Prestige Flowers have teamed up with Cancer Research UK to offer customers a range of gorgeous bouquets suitable for any occasion. With all bouquets exclusive to CRUK, a whopping 25% of the price of each bouquet goes to supporting the charity, resulting in a colossal £11,000 being raised from sales last year alone!
The gorgeous bouquet I was lucky enough to receive was named Joyous Horizon, and included a gorgeous mix of germinis, carnations, lily la orange (my fave!), chrysanthemums, and blue Statice. The beautiful mix of oranges, dusky pinks and purples is perfect for the Autumn months, but also wonderfully suited to Springtime too. Prices for this particular bouquet start from £30.00, and you can select larger sizes for a slight increase in price.
They came delivered in gorgeous white paper, and the box was extremely sturdy and suitable for transportation. They also offer free next day delivery on all bouquets, which is perfect for any last minute gifts – you can have it delivered directly to the recipient in time for any occasion.
When I received the bouquet the lilies weren’t in bloom, but opened within 3 to 4 days of delivery and smelt absolutely divine. As someone obsessed with room fragrances and candles, their scent was better than any artificial product I could buy.
With prices starting from £25, you’ll be completely spoiled for choice with the range of flowers and colours available to you. With roses being my moms favourite flower, there is quite a selection available through the website that I’ll be ordering for her next year for her birthday and Mother’s Day.
And if flowers aren’t your thing, there are a range of alternative ideas you can order instead, including fruit baskets, pamper selection boxes and spa treats.
So if you are considering ordering a flower delivery for a loved one, family member or friend, please consider placing your order through Cancer Research UK Flower Shop. Not only will they receive a gorgeous display of flowers, but you will also be supporting this wonderful cause.
