November Birchbox X Disney’s The Nutcracker

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these! I used to review both Glossybox and Birchbox on my blog each month, but eventually the subscription boxes became a bit repetitive so I cancelled all of them. Until I saw this one!

I’m a sucker for collaborations and limited Edition boxes. I recently purchased the Colorpop and Karl Lagerfeld collaboration, and desperately tried to get my hands on the Sunday Riley collaboration with Glossybox (and failed miserably), so when I saw this advertised on my Instagram I knew it was one to have.

Actually, part of me has missed these unboxing reviews. I might have to do a few more!

Polaar Night Cream sample (RRP £32.00)

I do love me a good night cream! Containing Boreal Algae, which is supposed to react to the blue light of the moon, this product aims to plumped and firm the skin whilst you sleep leaving you with a healthy complexion and fresh skin. Sounds good to me!

Dr. Pawpaw Original Clear Balm FULL SIZE (RRP £3.95)

I’ve seen these around on one of the online beauty sites, but never tried their products. I like lip balms around this time of year as I tend to get quite chapped lips from the cold weather, so I know this is something that’ll end up in my handbag. The main ingredient is fermented pawpaw which supposedly has healing qualities – an ideal product for this time of year! It seems to have a similar consistency to the Glossier Balm dotcom products (which I like) so I’m sure I’ll enjoy using this too.

Paul and Jo Illuminating Foundation Primer sample (RRP £27.00)

Primers are a bit of an obsession of mine, although I’m not always the biggest fan of illuminating ones on account of my oily/combination skin. That being said, my skin tends to be a lot drier in the winter months so I might be able to make this one work for me. As well as illuminating the skin it promises to hydrate, firm and smooth, so again an ideal product for the colder months.

Manna Kadar Diamond Dust Roller Shadow in the shade Enchanted FULL SIZE (RRP £15.00)

For this particular item you had a choice; Pixie, a rose gold pink or Enchanted, a coppery gold. I don’t usually use loose pigment shadows of this nature, but I’m quite looking forward to giving this a try as I’ve had my eye on the Stila Magnificent Metals Liquid Eye Shadow, which is very similar to this. I’ve never seen a roller ball shadow either, so I’m not sure how well it’ll apply; I’ll have to let you know!

Spacemasks Self-Heating Eye Mask FULL SIZE (RRP 3.50)

My favourite – a sheet mask! Always a good product to have this time of year, whether you want to pamper, hydrate or relax! I go through quite a few sheet masks, so I know for definite I’ll enjoy this one, especially as it contains mood-calming jasmine to help you relax. I’m also quite intrigued by the self-hearing properties as I’ve not had a mask do this before, so it’ll be good to see how it affects my skin.

I’ve quite enjoyed the selection of products this month, so I’m going to let my subscription run for a few months and see how I get on. If the products start to get repetitive I’ll just cancel it again, but it’s quite enjoyable to have a subscription box again!
