Birchbox: December 2018

December’s Birchbox! The last Birchbox of the year! Since taking out a renewed subscription to Birchbox I’ve been really enjoying it again! I love subscription boxes and love receiving a different mix of products each month, so it’s a real treat having one arrive again.

This month’s Birchbox was all about looking and feeling your best; embracing the glitz and glam of the holiday season. Whether it’s preparing for a party or pampering yourself in the comfort of your own home, it’s perfect to help you ‘twinkle all the way’.

Balance Me Flash Cleanse Micellar Water (RRP £16.00)

I love a good micellar water, so this is a great start! As it is 99% natural cleansing water, it’ll support your skin’s natural regeneration as well as removing all impurities. With all the glitter you tend to wear over the holidays you definitely need something a little more heavy duty to remove it, whilst still being gentle to your skin.

Rituals ‘Ritual of Ayurveda’ Body Cream (RRP £19.50)

Combining Indian Rose with Himalyan Honey, this is bound to be both hydrating and moisturizing. Honey is one of my favourite scents as I find it so incredibly soothing. This’ll be perfect to apply fresh out the bath before you go to sleep, to soothe and relax you.

Oh K! Bubble Sheet Mask (RRP £7.50)

My favourite pick of the box! I love a good sheet mask! I’ve never heard of this brand before so I’m looking forward to trying something new. And I’ve also never used a bubble mask either, so this’ll be very interesting! Apparently it reacts with the oxygen to form tiny bubbles on your face, foaming up and purifying the skin leaving you with a radiant complexion. Sounds ideal after all the Christmas excesses!

Percy and Reed Totally TLC Hydrating Mask (RRP £22.00)

I’ve tried a couple of Percy and Reed products in the past through Birchbox, so it’s nice to have something familiar. This hair mask is great for hydrating thick hair, especially hair that is dry and lacking moisture. As my hair is balayaged and regularly straightened or curled, I always use a hair mask every time I wash it in order to keep it in tiptop condition. I usually use it after shampoo/conditioner, massage it onto the ends and leave it a couple of minutes before rinsing. Perfect!

Laritzy Cosmetics Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Power (RRP £20.00)

Confession time: I went through a stage where I loved liquid lipsticks and wore them all the time, but I don’t reach for them all that often anymore. I love the longevity you get with a liquid lipstick, but I’m not a fan of the overly dry texture. This is a gorgeous red shade that is PERFECT for December and you all know how much I love a red lip.

Birchbox Hair Comb (RRP £7.00)

Some added bonuses! This wide tooth comb will be perfect for wet hair; working its way through any tangled tresses without pulling or causing any damage.

Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Duo

You get two offerings in this; a chocolate hazlenut button and a raspberry swirl button. Can’t say these lasted too long as I LOVE Hotel Chocolat!

And that is the final Birchbox of 2018, and my final blog post of 2018 too! I’m taking a well deserved rest after Blogmas, and will be back bright and early in the New Year!

Have a lovely Christmas everyone! See you next year!
