Charity Shop Book Haul: February 2019

I love a good charity shop, which is something slightly amusing to me because I loathed them when I was younger; I always thought they smelled funny and wet, and just full of junk.

Looking back, I wish I’d been a bit more tolerant of them when I was growing up, as in recent years I’ve found some amazing bargains.

I only ever buy books. There’s probably a lot more that I’d like if I took a moment to look, but I am OBSESSED with buying books from charity shops. If only I’d brought my books from there when I was growing up – think of the money I’d have saved!

I recently went shopping with my husband and kids, which was a perfect opportunity to stock up my bookcases with some hidden gems!

Dan Brown – Origins

SJ Watson – Before I go to sleep

Kate Atkinson – Life After Life

Audrey Niffenegger – Her Fearful Symmetry

Gabriel Garcia Marquez – Love in the time of Cholera

I read The Time-Travellers Wife a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was keen to try another Audrey Niffenegger book again.

I also quite enjoy the Dan Brown novels (Is this something I want to admit?) so the fact I picked up the latest one for £1 was brilliant!

I’ll let you know how I get on with these in due course!
